It seems like the only people you see using a skipping rope these days are boxers and little children. It’s actually one of the best ways to get fit because you don’t need to go anywhere. When you go running you might want to give up after a few miles, but you can’t because you need to get home. You should go into your back yard and put some practice hours in because it’s tough in the beginning.

You can throw in a few more exercises and when you go through each one you can put it down. Rest for a few minutes then do everything all over again. Barbell complexes are great because you can do a different one every day, but they’re very tiring and you’ll need a long sleep once you’ve finished.

Get into the water

Swimming is a great way to build your cardiovascular endurance without damaging your body. Do you know how much the body suffers when you bounce up and down on a hard surface all the time while running. Swimming is also enjoyable because you don’t need to swim up and down a pool to get fitter. You can take your children swimming and chase them around the pool if you enjoy it more. I guess getting into the water could also mean taking up a water sport too.
